🐾 The Voocie guide

Go to voocie.com and tap "Create your pet's email". You'll enter your pet's name first, then create your account (takes under a minute). On day one the pet's page has one job: give your vet the pet's email address (Copy, or "Ask my vet for me"), or snap the paperwork you have at home. Everything else unfolds by itself when the first record lands, or early with "Show everything on this page". Your pet's page has three tabs: Today (their daily message, medications, notes), Records (uploads, their email address, the health timeline), and About (food, DNA, photo album, memories). The ✨ Recommended card on Today shows your next best steps with a progress bar. Follow it and you're fully set up in minutes. Confirm your email with one tap on the link in the first email we send (or type the 6-digit code from it on the Account page). The link lasts 7 days; if it has expired by the time you come back, the banner at the top of every page says so and sends a fresh one in one tap. Once your email is verified, a welcome letter lands in your inbox with your pet's Voocie address and the three ways to start (forward your vet's last email, ask the clinic for you, or snap paperwork); if the record is still empty two days later, one reminder follows, and that is the last unprompted email you'll get from us. With more than one pet, My Pets shows under each name what needs a hand right now: an overdue shot, a follow-up coming due, or an emailed record waiting for your OK, so you can see which pet before you open anything.

Every time you open the page, your pet greets you with a daily briefing in their own voice: which meds are due or were given (with times), anything overdue, the story of recent days from your notes, and thanks for sweet moments shared. Tap Talk to [name] to chat and ask "how are you doing health-wise?", "explain your last blood work", or "when's your next dose?" On a brand-new record the suggested questions are day-one ones (what to feed tonight, which vaccines a pet this age usually needs, how to get records in). If the voice cannot answer for a moment, the greeting simply says your pet is quiet right now. Every answer is grounded in the real record with dates cited; the AI never diagnoses and never invents. Tap 🔊 on any reply (or the "Hear replies" toggle) to hear it out loud. Every answer shows its sources: under each reply you'll see "From the record:" chips naming exactly which documents and entries it drew on; tap a document chip and the original opens. If a reply uses general veterinary knowledge, that's labeled too, and a citation that can't be verified against the record is never shown.

Upload any vet document on the Records tab: PDFs, phone photos of paper, lab reports, invoices, prescriptions. The AI reads every page, tells you what it found right under the upload buttons ("2 vaccines, 1 medication, 2 lab values"), and files it into a lifelong timeline: visits, diagnoses, medications, vaccines with due dates, lab values with HIGH/LOW flags, surgeries, allergies, weights, and follow-ups ("recheck in 2 weeks", "repeat bloodwork in 3 months", "sutures out in 10 days") with their dates worked out from the visit date, shown as 📅 on the timeline and as a chip on Today until a later visit covers them. The original document is always kept next to what the AI extracted, and you can edit or delete any entry; your corrections are never overwritten. Big phone photos are shrunk in your browser before they go up (to about 2500 pixels, still sharp enough for fine print), so an upload on cellular takes seconds, not a minute. Extraction usually takes 30 to 60 seconds. If a read fails (a blurry photo, a scan the AI could not open), the document shows failed · retry; one tap sends it back to the AI, or retake the photo in better light and upload again.

Give them your pet's email, not yours. Voocie does the rest. Every pet has a private email address (the 📬 card at the top of Records), short enough to read out at the front desk, like nala-4cc13a0dc4b7a1b2@pets.voocie.com. You see it the moment the record is born, with 📨 Ask my vet for me (type the clinic's email and Voocie sends the records request for you, the moment you confirm your own email), ✉️ Or from my email app (the same request, ready to send from your mail app), Copy, and Share. Give it to your vet, clinic, groomer, anyone. They don't need an account or an app. They just email records like they always do. Senders on your care team file straight into the record; anyone else lands in "📥 Waiting for your OK," where you tap "Add to record" or "not for the record" (up to 5 unapproved emails a day are held; your care team's own limit is separate, so a stranger can never crowd out your vet). Approve a clinic once and you're done: "✓ Add to record, trust sender" means their emails file straight in from then on ("add just this one" keeps them waiting), marked ✅ on their card under 🩺 Vets & clinics (on Records, right under the address), where stop puts them back to waiting and trust them does the reverse for a clinic you added by hand. Use Copy or Share on the card to text it to your vet's front desk. When you approve a clinic's email, their vet contact card creates itself (name, email, phone from their signature) under 🩺 Vets & clinics; each approved email keeps it current, an unapproved one never changes it, and anything you edit by hand stays exactly as you wrote it. Address in the wrong hands? The owner can tap Get a new address under the card: the old one stops working immediately, so tell your clinic the new one. Nothing in hand? Tap ✏️ Type what you know on the first-record card and say what you remember (shots, medicines, weight, allergies, in any order); each fact files onto its own card, and about 30 seconds later the line under the box tells you what was found ("Filed: 2 vaccines, 1 medication") or that it could not read it, and the first-record card steps aside. If the card says the address is paused while we fix mail delivery, nothing is lost: snap or upload paperwork as usual, "Ask the clinic for me" saves your request and sends it the moment the address is back, and the address returns on its own. Want the old records too? On a fresh record, tap "📨 Ask the clinic for me" on the email card: enter the clinic's email and Voocie sends a polite records request on your behalf. The clinic just hits reply with the documents attached, and the reply lands in your pet's inbox (a new sender's first email still waits for your OK: the moment it arrives, your pet texts or emails you a one-tap link that shows what came in and asks "Is this my vet?", so you can file it, file just this one, or let it go without signing in; anything still waiting also shows as a 📥 chip on Today). Prefer it to come from you? "✉️ Or from my email" opens the same request in your own mail app. Limits apply (3 requests per pet per day). Not confirmed your email yet? Type the clinic's address anyway: the request is saved and goes out by itself the moment you confirm, whether you tap the link in the confirm email or enter its code right there.

The medications card on Today shows every current med with dose, schedule, and instructions (📌 "with food", "no dairy", added via edit). Log a dose with one tap on ✓ Give now; the whole family sees "last given today at 8:15 AM" so nobody double-doses. If your pet refuses, tap refused? and pick a reason tag; refusals matter to your vet. Add a med by typing one line ("Prednisone 10 mg twice daily", it parses itself) or 📸 snap the bottle and the AI reads the label. Schedules like "every 12 hours" power due-time alerts: the row highlights, a banner appears, and reminders go out. Fix a mis-logged dose time with ✎ on its timeline entry; change the schedule anytime with edit; stop moves a med to history.

Tap "Text ME when doses are due" on the medications card to get an SMS the moment a dose is due. It's a personal choice; every family member opts in or out for themselves (the 💊 chips on the Care team page show who gets them). "Also alert this device" adds push notifications (on iPhone: Add to Home Screen first: Share button → Add to Home Screen). Beyond doses, the care team gets updates in your pet's own voice whenever something happens: records emailed in, notes and photos posted, meds changed, doses refused: "Hi, it's me Nala!…" The person who did the thing never gets notified about their own action. Vaccine due dates and follow-ups remind you by themselves: when a clinic's paperwork puts a due date on a vaccine or names a recheck, your pet writes to the care team two weeks before it and again on the day ("My Rabies vaccine is due September 15, two weeks from now"), by email, plus text or push for anyone who opted in. If it is already done, forward the clinic's email to the records address and the record updates itself; nothing older than a month overdue is ever nagged about.

The note box sits right under your pet's greeting. Just type: times ("at 9:40pm") and weights ("31.5 kg") are picked out automatically, and meds, diagnoses, or symptoms you mention get filed into the structured record by the AI (so they show on the emergency card). Add a 📷 picture to turn a note into a moment: the photo lands in the album and on the timeline, and your pet writes their own sweet reaction ("Chris stayed right beside me all night…") which becomes the notification the family receives. Choose Share: whole care team or just the record per note. Edit any note later with ✎.

Red and amber banners appear at the top of Today when something needs attention: a temperature ≥103°F noted in the last 3 days (≥106°F goes red: "contact an ER now"), a refused dose, or a dose past due. When a newer normal temperature is logged, the fever banner resolves itself into a calm green pill. Clearing an alert with ✕ is logged to the record ("Alert cleared by…") so your vet sees the history. Nothing disappears silently.

Emergency card (red button): one revocable link any ER reads in 30 seconds: current meds with instructions, allergies front and center, conditions, latest labs, vaccine status, microchip. Print it or text it; "Replace the link" kills the old one instantly. Sitter card (🧡): a limited share for sitters and boarders: feeding and where to buy it, med schedule, quirks, your instructions, who to call (your phone and the vet's) and emergency guidance, without the medical history. Intake answers (📋): every question a new clinic's clipboard asks, assembled from the record with tap-to-copy, or photograph their blank form and the answers drop into their questions for your review. Insurance packet (📑): one link with the complete timeline plus every original document, downloadable by the insurer; link your provider (Nationwide, Trupanion, and more) for one-tap claim filing with your policy number pre-filled. Snap or upload the insurance card right on the packet page (front and back), or enter the insurer and policy number manually; the card appears at the top of the page, on the emergency card for the ER, and on the sitter card with a link to the emergency card, tap to open full size, ready when the front desk asks; the policy number fills in from the card automatically. Sitters and boarders never need an account: point them to voocie.com/sitters, which explains the card and gives them a ready-made message to ask their clients for one.

Invite family with one link from the Care team page; they can add records, notes, and chat. Invite your vet with a view-and-upload role: they see everything, can add records, but can't change or delete anything. Owners can promote family to 👑 co-owner for full equal authority. Everyone answers "who are you to [pet]?" (mom, dad, grandma, sitter) so the pet knows their family by name and says so in messages and reactions. Every share link (invites, emergency, sitter, insurance) is revocable at any time.

On the About tab, About your pet holds breed, sex, birthday (or roughly how old: "3 years" becomes a birthday, the way a vet's intake form does it) and weight; twenty seconds there, with no paperwork, turns on "Looking ahead": the preventive roadmap for that breed and life stage. The header shows "+ add breed & birthday" until they are in. Also on About: log what your pet eats and where to buy it (it flows to the sitter card, the emergency card, and the AI). Link a DNA test (Embark, Wisdom Panel, and others) with the kit number and results link, then upload the report PDF and the AI files the findings. The album holds a lifetime of photos with their dates, separate from medical documents (album photos are never sent to the AI and never count against limits), and every photo also appears on the timeline.

On the About tab, put your pet's parents, littermates, and offspring on the family tree: name and relation only, and mark 💛 "family by heart" for bonds that aren't blood. Attach hereditary notes to any relative ("mild elbow dysplasia diagnosed 2025"); they show on the vet one-pager so your vet sees what to watch for. Share just the tree with another family (a littermate's household, your breeder) with its own link from the tree card: they see the tree only, never the medical record (that stays a separate invite). When both families claim the same relative, it's one identity across both trees: they tap ＋ Add to my tree on /shared-tree and pick what to call them (son, dam). Health facts move only by double consent: you tap offer on a specific fact (two taps, the second confirms), the other family sees it under the shared relative and taps ＋ add to my record. What lands is a copy with provenance ("shared by a connected family"), theirs to keep or delete, and yours never changes. Un-offering stops future copies; copies already made stay with their families, and if you later edit your original, their copy shows "⟳ source has changed" so they can re-review. If a hereditary condition shows up in one household, the whole line can know in time to act.

One simple rule for breeders: give your vet each puppy's email at litter checkups. The record creates itself for your client, the new owner. Start a litter right on the dam's record (About tab). Every pup is born with their own full record (birth date, breed, records inbox, emergency card) and a family tree that already carries the dam, the sire, and every littermate. At pickup, hand the new family two things: the pup's claim link and a spoken 6-character claim code (both on the litter panel; the code hides behind a reveal tap). The new family opens the link, enters the code, creates their account, and takes ownership of a record that knows its whole line; they never type a name. The moment they claim: every share link from before stops working, and you keep view-and-upload access so late vet records still reach them (they can change that anytime). Entries from before pickup show "entered by breeder" so the new family always knows what they inherited. Wrong family claimed by mistake? They can give the record back, and you reissue a fresh link. And because the litter stays connected through the tree, a health fact you offer on the dam can reach every pup's family through the same double-consent picker: one diagnosis, the whole line warned in time.

Your pet's record belongs to you, and you can take it with you anytime: the 🗂 Files tab has Download everything, one zip with an offline viewer page that works forever, the machine-readable record, and every original document and photo, saved to your own computer (plus a JSON-only export; 5 exports a day). Nothing is public unless you create a share link, and every link can be revoked. Vets on the care team can't delete or alter anything; strangers emailing the records address wait for your approval. Every family starts with a 60-day free trial, no credit card; after that it is $99 a year, or $8.25 a month, for all your pets (with generous monthly AI allowances), and people you invite never pay.
